Application :

When inserted into a hollow bolt , the transfered heat causes the bolt to expand and increase in length , allowing the nut to be further wrenched tightened .

When the heater is removed the bolt cools and contracts , drawing down further the previously tightened nut. the higher the wattage the faster the expansion . Used widely on studs and

holding bolts on large equipments such as steam generators , turbines and pressure vessels .

Construction :

Sheathed in stainless steel the heaters constructed having a recommended minimum 100 mm cold zone separating the heated zone from the junction box and handle. The element is of the compacted variety , allowing high watts density and long service life .
